Origin's Kate Unsworth has an impressive portfolio of fashion qualifications and experience in the fashion industry. Kate gained distinctions in both BTEC GNVQ in Art & Design (Fashion) and HND in Fashion/Clothing Technology before undertaking three years of practical experience in the bridal fashion industry, working for a prestigious bridal designer in the City of York. 

Her qualifications, coupled with her comprehensive working experience meant that Kate was very well prepared when she established Origins in 1999. Origins ethos is the same now as it was then - simply to produce beautiful and unique garments at affordable prices at the same time giving clients the highest possible level of service.

We are situated in the pretty village of Flaxton, which is just off the A64, eight miles from the beautiful City of York. 

Origins is run from an impressive Workshop/Studio which was purposely converted from redundant farm buildings.

There is ample on-site car parking for client use.
