Membership -
Shopmobility YORK
If you are interested in using
Shopmobility York, whether on a casual basis, as a visitor or as an Annual Member,
you will need to fill out one of our Registration forms.These are available from the Shopmobility office.
Please also
ensure you read the Insurance Declaration
and the Guidelines & Advice, both of which form part of the Registration document.
Casual or Visitor Membership is retained for a maximum of 3 months from registration.
Responsibilities of Membership
1. Please be courteous and show consideration to other users of the city centre. Please note that pedestrians always have priority.
2. Always keep your speed low in confined places, especially shops and attractions.
3. Please make sure you take the key with you when leaving the scooter unattended.
4. Please note that equipment must not be taken outside the city walls, with the exception of the railway museum.
5. Please make sure that equipment is returned on time.
6. In cases of damage to equipment, please note that you would be responsible for the £100 insurance excess and possibly other costs if the fault were your own.
7. Scooters will tip over if taken up or down kerbs - always use a dropped kerb.
8. In cases of breakdown or accident, please ring ShopMobility York immediately. We will arrange to have you and the scooter/wheelchair "rescued" as soon as possible.
9. The equipment is for your personal use. Never let anyone use your vehicle or ride with you.
Important
You must return the equipment to the ShopMobility York premises before the advertised closing time. The opening hours are as follows:
