 We
are here to help persons with limited mobility to get around
York City Centre. It does not matter why your mobility is
limited or whether you are a resident or a visitor to York. Shopmobility is there to lend a helping hand (and wheel) to anyone
who needs it.
Shopmobility is a scheme which enables
people who find walking distances an obstacle to enjoy the shopping and other
facilities of city centre areas by lending them powered scooters, electric
wheelchairs and manual chairs.
It gives
users the independence to conduct their own affairs as and
when they want, enabling them to exploit city centre
facilities without having to rely on others.
We also offer a MobilityHire Service for those who need to
hire a wheelchair or scooter temporarily for a longer period
